Description

Desc
Long, lean, and in good shape… there's still a perpetually mussed look about the man. It must be the hair, as it never seems to smooth back entirely, its dark brown strands that match his eye color are kept cropped short with enough leave at the top to look a little spiked and messy. The strong jaw, prominent nose, and consistent five-o-clock shadow would otherwise complete a scruffy appearance, but his clothes bely that.
A dark cinnamon shade of brown wherhide has been nipped, tucked, and tailored to suit the wearer admirably, the normal set of pockets at front and back accompanied by another set at mid-thigh, and an extra loop laid horizontal at the waist has been added for some type of knife sheath. An equally well tailored tan, button down tunic (with sleeves near always rolled to the elbow) and dark work boots turn what might otherwise be utilitarian into a polished look.

Personality
Nerd! I could sum it up as that, but he is somewhat of your garden variety nerd; the guys that do math in their head that drive people *nuts* with their certainty. Couple that with a dry wit, and the propensity for mocking people so subtly they may not realize it until hours later and… well, he *can* be difficult to like. But assuming one can get past all that, he's really one of the most loyal friends you could ever ask for and is generous with his time or help. He's also a bit oblivious when it comes to the opposite sex… to the point where some might wonder if he's just acting when he doesn't realize a woman is flirting with him, because surely nobody that smart is really that clueless …right?

History

Igen born and bred, D'cen had been a Journeyman Starcrafter when he was swept up in search for Oraceth's Y2750 clutch. Up until that point he'd been heavily involved in continuing the calculations that would try to pin down how this 10th pass of the Red Star would differ from prior passes, and how this possible new pass vector would affect threadfall patterns. But Siderath changed that, at least for the weyrling year! After which, he tried to pick up his studies again, and hopes to be of assistance to Igen's leadership in preparing for what the Starcrafter's are certain is an imminent new Pass.

Dragon

Siderath
Whimsy, seek not this armored bronze that stands as a bastion against all that may try trespass: first light graces his heavy build as hallowed plate shining with eerie werelight, a silvered bronze traced with delicate filigree of burnished sun. Effervescent, it sweeps tight against the high arch of heavy neck, darkening subtly against the broad swath of his chest, lightening only to protect his delicate flank. Where armor dares not venture — the broad swaths of obsidian-tipped wingsail, the stout trunks of chalky-sparred forepaws, the thick swirl of efficient tail - starstruck oblivion strikes in darkest bronze, scattered with pinpricks of lightning, brushed copper, and shiny nickel, a plethora of colored constellations which defy any mapping. A whorl of nebulous color gilds the strong lines of his straight face and high, sweeping headknobs, shining brilliant, kissed with gold: the watcher stands at the gate, cloaked behind his mask of startling beauty.

Siderath's Personality
In short, Siderath is a bit on the judgmental side. If time allows, he will take it and observe every nuance of a person, place, thing, or situation before making a call. But he's not reticent about snap decisions if it's necessary. But -only- if it's necessary. Why? Because it's bloody well difficult to make him change his mind once he HAS formed an opinion. He's blunt in expressing himself, but that's because he doesn't like to talk much. He'd rather use imagery and mindvoice to convey his feelings on any given topic. It can also be hard to tell if his dry wit is because of his lifemate, or if D'cen's dry wit is because of him.

Hooks

  • Still heavily involved with the Starcraft, and in communication with them regularly.
  • He never talks about his family. Ever. Someone could get mighty curious about that!
