Description
Kaeloderan's first and foremost feature is his ridiculous hair. Naturally dark blonde to borderline brown hair looks as if its been attacked by a wild animal. The thick mass is cut at uneven, jagged angles, although it tends towards the short side, and is therefore prone to sticking up in all sorts of odd directions. Whether it's brushed or left as is, Kaeloderan often looks quite disheveled. Though despite his strange hair, the rest of him is average looking. Cheerful blue-green eyes rest above a narrow nose. His mouth appears to be a little too large for his face. A healthy tan cloaks a lanky, somewhat awkward teenage body formed of long arms and legs connected by knobby joints. A boyish charm resides in his slouching posture and general composure. When actually forced to stand tall, Kaeloderan measures in around five feet, eight inches and still growing.
A simple knot consisting of a double cord that circles around into a single loop with a small tail is held proudly on Kaeloderan's shoulder. With appropriate colors and badge in place, it declares this lad to be a Harper Apprentice, posted at Igen Weyr.
History
Hold-born and hold-raised, Kaeloderan comes from a long line of farmcrafters who work in and around Igen Hold. It was expected for the one and only son to follow in his journeyman father's footsteps and continue to grow crops to help sustain the Hold as well as tithe to the Weyr. Alas, this was not to be. As Kaeloderan tried his hand at growing and found all green things died when he was near. Branded bad luck by his parents, all their hope turned towards Kaeloderan's only sibling, his little sister, while he was free to pursue other interests.
For some reason or another, Harper seemed to call the boy's interest, and soon Kaeloderan found himself apprenticed at the Harper Hall. After a few turns of apprenticing, the lad finally found something of a calling and tends to lean towards being a Legist. That being that, he now finds himself under the care of Journeyman Ieilien.
Hooks
You might want to include some things that could provide roleplay hooks for other characters: a way they might know you, some way you could help them out, something your character has that people might want.
