Description
S'cain is a golden blond haired man, with blue eyes and the personality that goes with both of those things. He is a fairly average size for a man, 5'10, and somewhat slim in build. He's a charming man, usually, and is pretty good at dealing with just about any personality type.
History
Sercain was born to a pair of dragonriders of which neither of them wanted the trouble or responsibility of raising a child. He was fostered as soon as he could be, to a Master Starsmith named Sevorin. He may not have been blood relation, but S'cai took to the stars easily. He helped with the charting, viewing, and recording of the movements of all the heavenly bodies. S'cai was a chatty sort, happy to talk with whomever wanted to listen, and was quite pleased when riders would come to visit. He was an independant child, seeming quite happy with spending time on his own and studying. When he grew into a teenager he had become quite a charmer, knowing what to say and do to get people comfortable. Some claimed he'd be a great mindhealer, and his foster Sevorin agreed. He went to become an Apprentice Healer. He flourished there, and many figured he had a gift for getting people's inner secrets out of them. He was not very adept at stitching up wounds, or setting broken arms and legs, but when it came to counselling - he was very good at it.
He had his sights set on Journeyman by the time that K'ail came and swept him away to stand at Dilnath's 1-21-2746 hatching at Igen. Sercain had no optimism that this is where he was meant to belong, standing on the hot sands, but that changed with Alueth came and claimed him. The tempermental blue has many of the same interests as S'cai, stars and watching people, but he has a streak of moodiness that'll rival any green on her proddy days. It affects S'cai negatively as well, sometimes making him snappish and short, while most of the time he manages to keep to his much more cheerful demeanour.
After Weyrlinghood, S'cai had made himself at home in the bar to play cards. Of course, cocky as he is, he tends to play to win and with his ease in reading people, he found he won more often than not. This doesn't set well with some, accusations of cheating and a few beatings have taught S'cai not to flaunt his ability so much these days and he's still banned from playing cards at Igen (though sometimes he's been known to wander off to another weyr and come back with a pocketful of marks). He is the charming flirt that seems quite pleased to keep himself unattached - though it hardly makes him celibate. It's been over ten turns that he's been with Alueth, and he spends his time on the transport wing and continuing to study. He's recently managed to make it to Journeyman Healer, finally working more hands on with the thing that enthralls him the most - Mindhealing.
